1. Nature of Allergen Information
Allergen information published through the AllergenGuard platform is compiled in good faith from information supplied by food business operators and their suppliers. This information is indicative only and is provided as a compliance aid.
AllergenGuard does not independently verify or test the allergen content of any food product. All allergen declarations are based solely on information provided by the food business operator and their ingredient suppliers.
2. Responsibility of Food Business Operators
Food business operators registered with AllergenGuard are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy and completeness of allergen information they provide
- Updating allergen information promptly when ingredients or suppliers change

- Managing cross-contamination risks in their kitchen and preparation areas
3. Cross-Contamination
Allergen information displayed through AllergenGuard relates to intentional ingredients only. It does not account for the risk of cross-contamination during food preparation, storage or service. Catering environments frequently handle multiple allergens and cross-contamination cannot always be prevented.
Customers with severe allergies or anaphylaxis risk must always speak directly with the food business before ordering and should not rely solely on digital allergen information.
4. Supplier and Ingredient Changes
Food manufacturers and suppliers may change the ingredients or formulation of their products without notice. While AllergenGuard operates an automated supplier monitoring system to detect changes, there may be a delay between a supplier updating their product information and that change being reflected in a restaurant's allergen menu.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eletiser Ltd and AllergenGuard accept no liability for:
- Any allergic reaction, injury or harm arising from reliance on allergen information published through our platform
- Inaccuracies or omissions in allergen information provided by food business operators or their suppliers
